HOW I APPLY IT IN SALES COACHING
SATISFIED WITH THE EXPERIENCE: When you truly spend the time coaching your sales team, they appreciate the time and efforts in developing their strengths as well as serving as a sounding board for their unique needs. When I was a sales rep myself, I would much rather spend time being coached versus training or being told what I didn’t do well. A coaching conversation helps me see the blind spots and the questions open up areas for me to focus on or take action to reach goals.
INCREASED PRODUCTIVITY: Sales has much more involved than just closing or account planning, but the overall approach to business and how productive a sales professional is. In coaching productivity, I am able to gain the most out of my sales team to accomplish more.
POSITIVE PEOPLE: When a person enjoys what they do, they are much more positive and having a team of passionate and positive people creates an environment where people excel and are comfortable in being creative and maximizing their strengths.
RETURN ON INVESTMENT: In spending time coaching my sale team, the ROI comes back in terms of consistent sales results and a stronger sales team. In sales it is about results and goal attainment, you can focus on things you can’t control or manage through fear, or you can partner with your team an coach them to success.
